Credential Evaluation Tools
I hope everyone is staying safe in the time of Coronavirus. At Transcript Research, we are continuing to work diligently at helping our students and institutions with their credential evaluation needs. We are working our normal business hours and have no significant delays in service. We know that a lot of educational institutions in particular are struggling with making admissions decisions for their international students and applicants, and we want to help ease that burden. In addition to conducting international transcript evaluations, Transcript Research offers online training and e-publications for credentials evaluators. In early March, we offered a webinar on...
Working Remotely
Whew. It’s crazy out there, isn’t it? I wanted to open this post with something confident and reassuring and professional (as sensible business people should), but I really thought it might be better to just acknowledge that many of us are feeling overwhelmed right now. As a result, we will continue to spend considerable time researching the grading scale used at that institution for that program at that moment in time...
Choosing a Private Evaluation Company
Choosing a private evaluation company can be a stressful experience since each company has its own criteria, equivalencies, grading scales, and other methodologies, and they also have different goals than educational institutions in that they provide evaluations for professional licensing, employment, immigration, as well as educational purposes. With respect to private evaluation companies, an excellent place to start would be with the members of AICE (Association of International Credentials Evaluators) or NACES (National Association of Credential Evaluation Services), two private associations that have membership requirements, codes of ethics, high standards, and publish and present extensively in the field of international education. Institutions and students using these affiliated...
