Immigration

Transcript Research is happy to work with immigration services offices, whether that involves law offices, immigrant centers, legal services organizations, immigration advocacy groups, and others.

Transcript Research evaluations are accepted by thousands of colleges and universities and employers. As a member of NACES, the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, our evaluation reports are also accepted by USCIS.

We offer both general equivalency (with or without grade point average) evaluations and course-by-course evaluation reports within approximately 2 weeks* of receiving all needed documents and the option for rush turn-around time if needed. (Note: this 2-week turnaround does not apply for medical, beauty, and custom applications).

Our evaluations can be conducted on the basis of scans or official documents, depending on your clients' needs.

There are 4 easy steps to your clients getting an evaluation:

  1. Establish the Type of Documents You Need Evaluated and the Type of Evaluation Required.
Establish if you need an evaluation based on unofficial documents or official documents. Please see our country-specific requirements for more details. Then determine if your clients need a general equivalency evaluation (with or without a grade point average) or a detailed, course-by-course evaluation.
  2. Have Your Client Complete the Application Form and Pay the Fees.
The application form must be filled out entirely; the educational history is vitally important. Even if we aren't evaluating every institution your client attended, they need to tell us about all of it, beginning with 9th grade. If the client has more than 3 credentials to be evaluated, please be aware that we charge an additional fee. However, they can choose if they only want some of their educational records to be evaluated (only post-secondary credentials, for example), however, so have them us know on the application contract.
  3. Have Your Client Attach Scans of Their Documents to the Online Application.
We need the client to attach scans of their documents so we can get started on the evaluation right away! Have your client review the country-specific requirements to see the types of documents needed even though they can send scans to start the process. NOTE: If the documents are not officially issued by the institution in English, we also need a translation, and we have rules about that, too, so check them out here: https://transcriptresearch.com/requirements
  4. Have Your Client Send Official Documents Only If You Need Official Documents Evaluated.
If you need an evaluation of official documents, have your client submit the country-specific requirements appropriate to their country and level of education. If you need an an evaluation of official documents, send the official documents to us or make arrangements to have the institution send them to us. We cannot complete and send an the report without them if that's what you chose. If you don't need the evaluation based on official documents, we can handle everything online with the scans attached to the applicant.

You can also review some sample evaluation reports we have previously conducted to get a feel for the type of information we include in our reports.
